This morning, I was in the car, listening to the radio, when Britney Spears’ Circus came on.  Figuring that it was a Britney song that I hadn’t heard yet, I let it play.  Musically, it’s nothing impressive (is any pop music musically impressive?), but it’s a welcome change from Womanizer, which I’ve been hearing non-stop for about 3 months.

What makes this interesting is that, after the song ended, the DJ commented that he likes “Circus” for the same reason–he thinks it’s welcome change from “Womanizer.”  To paraphrase him, he said something like “I know that ‘Womanizer’ is a favorite of many of our listeners, but I’m over it.”

You know radio sucks when the DJ comments that he’s tired of hearing the same music over and over again.  It’s a crazy system, that radio…
