» Freestyle Beat [- mass konfuzion.com -]: Music, Life, etc.

I know I’ve been promising a lot of stuff on this website, and believe me, I’m working on it. But in the meantime, I’ve been spending some quality time with my keyboard. It’s not the most advanced keyboard I’ve ever seen or used–I use it mainly for its MIDI capabilities, but it also has some features I’ve neglected for pretty much all of the 4 years that I’ve owned it. Specifically, I haven’t used its built-in sequencer.. That is, not until Saturday afternoon.

To make a long story short, I came up with this beat. What makes it special is the fact that it’s the first one I’ve created using external hardware exclusively (i.e. not my computer). That means that EVERYTHING is hand-crafted: the drum beat and the musical parts. I know it’s relatively simple, and in fact, I made some mistakes, but the point was to play around with the hardware, not to compose a symphony. But you never know; a symphony might be on its way. After all, my name IS Ludwig… Anyway, enjoy the riff
